Finally, after a week in Northern Thailand and Burma, I am back in Samui. Great to see some sun for a change, it was really depressing when we were leaving...
First of all I want to correct my yesterday's post with information about Chaweng Cove Resotel ( I deleted the wrong info already). We did receive a fax from them, but unfortunately my thai secretary's misread the text and gave me wrong info, and I wasn't here to check.
So, now I am looking at their fax - the hotel is open, only the Beachfront Pool Villa and the restaurant are closed after flooding and will remain closed during renovation until 30th of June. They will serve the food in other areas of the hotel.
Sorry, guys, if I made you scared yesterday. My apologies.
Ok, back to the weather now and the pictures of the roads, which I took today, driving around a few areas.
Bangrak, the way from the airport.
Bophut, main road between Fishermans Village and Big C - in front of Samui Town Center.
Bophut, in front of World Resort - the road is a but wet, will be dry tomorrow.
Maenam, Soi Lomprayah.
Maenam, main road.
In front of Santiburi resort in Maenam.
In front of Bophut temple and traffic light.
Inside the temple - the car is still there :-)
Remember how it was a few days ago? (same car )
And in front of Anantara Resort in Bophut a few days ago.....
And look at it now... All good!
And outside of major supermarkets:
And a few other snapshots from today, just to complete your impression and give you some hope :-)
I was wondering what was that - strange exhibition outside of our Bophut's police station..... :-)
Number plates which were lost during flood? Probably.
We actually lost ours, but we did pick it up from the paddle...
