Weather in Samui 31 March 2011

Today Samui was slowly but surely on the way to recovery. We still had some rain today , but not as much as before, the floods gone down a lot, but not completely. Some roads are very good, some are ok, some are still bad and have water...Lots of sand on the road - drivers need to be very careful. Clean-up operations are going on everywhere.

Airport was nearly fully functioning today, with tons of people on stand-by, trying to get a flight instead of the one they missed.

This picture I took this morning while getting a flight to Chiang Mai.

More from Raymond Day - petrol stations were a mess as too many cars completely run out of petrol, and in the last 2 days there wasn't any supply to the island. 

Finally got some today - so very big queues of cars at every station.

Some places were badly damaged and people will need time to recover their businesses, their cars, their houses....

And finally some photos from South Chaweng from my staff Golf, who is also working in Baan Chaweng Guesthouse opposite Centara Grand resort, so she took some pictures this morning.

As you can see - places in Chaweng got quite damaged, hopefully they all will be back to normal in the next few days.
