Places to go

Paradise Park Farm

Today I am going to tell you about our recent day trip to Paradise Farm Park, which turned out to be  really enjoyable for us and our 2 year old son.

We went there in our own car, and it took us about 40-50 min from Bophut. We easily found the turn from the main road but the way up to the mountains had not enough signs...still, we managed to get up there without getting lost :-)  The weather was glorious, so we really looked forward to seeing this place.

Paradise Farm Farm is located at the top of the highest mountain Khao Pom in South West of Samui (Baan Taling Ngam area)  and is set within tropical virgin forest which makes the whole setting really lovely and unique.

The park covers about 20 acres of land and inside there are walking trails, picnic / resting areas, an infinity swimming pool, a restaurant, a souvenir shop and many different animals and birds to see.

The animals live here in very natural surroundings and some of them have large enclosures and are allowed out during the day, so it is not one of those places where animals are being abused. Here, we've found, they are looked after really well. The staff is great, they helped us to handle some animals, told us all about them and  gave us the food to feed them.

Animals enjoy a comfortable life in a natural and spacious habitat, they live in different areas around the park,  connected by walking trails with resting areas to sit down and enjoy nature’s beauty and the spectacular views of Koh Samui and the surrounding islands. You can play with them, you can interact, you can feed them, you can pet them, they all are very friendly and won't harm you.

But there are a few places besides the animals areas, places where you can play, eat and relax.

There is a great playground for the young kids,  with slides, toys and swings, my son really enjoyed it, we couldn't get him out of there.

The infinity swimming pool is absolutely beautiful and from here, you can get unspoilt views across the whole of Samui, don't forget your camera, bikini and sun protection cream.

The restaurant has amazing views and food is good and reasonable priced. We had green curry and massaman curry, 170 THB each, it's more expensive than in simple Thai places around Samui, but it's very reasonable for a restaurant inside a tourist attraction and it tasted good.
Paradise Park Farm is open daily from 9am until 6pm.  Transfer is available and tours can be booked in any travel agency or your hotel.

I would certainly recommend a trip to Paradise Park Farm and I am sure that it would appeal to a wide variety of people, including couples and families.  All the animals look happy and healthy, so just go there and have a great time with them.
This attraction is easy to get to, cheap to get in and lots to see and do while you are there.

Ok, now I've finished - here are the photos, courtesy of my hubby Dmitri Terletski.

Hope you have enjoyed!  :-)
